Why is this important?
There are often times when you need to select a range of records in Connect and send them all the same email. Whether it is a not about an upcoming event, a pending deadline for application submissions or even a birthday greeting, you can now send these as personalized messages from several new areas in Connect.
Where can bulk email be sent from?
User can send email from the following areas in the app:
- Student List Screen - great way to send personalized email with student related content
- Event RSVP list on the Event Details screen - ideal if you want to send an email to all registrants of an upcoming event
- Application List Screen - you can easily send out a personalized email to all Apps that are In Progress etc.
Sending bulk emails
Follow the steps below to send email to more than one record
- Go to the one of the following screens
- Inquiries > Students List
- Events> Event List> Event Details
- Applications> Applications
- Select more than one record from the list by clicking a checkbox on the left hand side and a SEND EMAIL button will appear in the header above the table
- Click SEND EMAIL and a compose email dialog will open
- Confirm the recipients - you can easily uncheck or check additional recipients from the pull down menu
- The From name will default to your School Name, however, you can select this to be from any one of your active users in Connect
- The Reply to will default to whomever is creating the email, but you can select another active user from the drop down allowing you to send the email on behalf of someone else at your school
- Select from one of the available templates - see this article for more information about templates
- Enter your Subject and Insert any desired fields
- Enter in the content of your email along with any fields to personalize the message
- Click SEND EMAILS
Note: A separate email will be sent to every recipient listed with a check mark in the recipients list.
