Why is this important?
Using a redirect page allows you to display a specific page after a form submission. This is useful if you are using Ad Platforms that require a conversion event or just wish to present the visitor a well-worked message after they complete your form.
A form redirect is a good tool to use if there's some additional information or another step you'd like to provide your users, such as book a tour.
Example with Facebook Ad Platform
If you are using Facebook Ad Platform to run display ads and need to be able to manage the conversions. Meta handles conversions by using a pixel or a conversion event.
Let's say that you send visitors to an event registration page. You could set up a custom conversion that tracks website visitors who have submitted the form and end up on a new page that has /thank-you in its URL. Assuming your Thank You page is the only page with /thank-you in its URL, and you've installed the Pixel on that page, anyone who views it will be tracked using that custom conversion.
Setting the form Redirect
Users with School Admin access can follow the steps below to set up a redirect:
- Go Admin>Signup Forms
- Select the specific form you wish to set up a redirect
- Click the Setup Icon
- Select Redirect to another page
- Enter in the desired URL for that page
- Select the option to Open in new tab or leave as is to remain in the existing window
- Click SAVE
Tip: If you choose not to perform a redirect, a notification message will be displayed, which also can be edited to your liking. |
