Family Connections

In this latest release, we revisited how we ask about siblings. Up until this release, we asked the question "Do you have any future, present or past siblings that attended the school?" and stored the answer in the Siblings field as a "Yes" or a "No".  Feedback from school users was that they really wanted to know:

1. Does a family have any future siblings that might attend the school?
2. Are they a current family or not?

In 2.1, we replaced the current Siblings field with a new Future Siblings field and new Family Connection field.

These new fields now appear:

• As new options under the "More..." dropdown in search
• As new fields on your Sign Up forms
• A new Future Siblings Chart
• When you bulk edit fields in the Student List screen
• When merging students on the Student List screen

Note: We kept the old Siblings field to maintain the data for the time being. This will eventually be removed.  In the meantime, if schools are using the Siblings field on any forms, we recommend swapping that out with the new field as soon as possible.

Other Features and Enhancements

• Map Layers now support KMZ files, which means multiple layers can be uploaded and map options can be configured.
• You can now reorder Map Layers.
