What is a Lead Score?
The Lead Score feature is a tool to help you understand a prospective family's existing relationship to your school. You can use the score as a lens for thinking about how much recruitment effort a family might require.
The following criteria can be used to configure your school's Lead Score:
- Additional Needs
- Alumni parent
- Boarder/Homestay (if Boarding is set under Edit School)
- Gender
- Current school classification (Public, Charter, Private, etc.)
- Current school category (In Zone, Out of Zone, etc.)
- Religion
- Sibling at the school
- Student Interests
Where does a student's Lead Score appear?
Lead Score information is never visible to families. It is an Admin-facing feature only.
You can view a student's lead score on the Student Details page:
You can also view the Lead Score column in the Students List:
Setting your Lead Score values
To set your organization's Lead Score values, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Admin > Lead Score
- Select the criteria you would like to include in your Lead Score
- Use the checkboxes to select/deselect the items you would like to include
- Use the Add Lead Score button to add additional criteria
- Use the sliders in the Score column to assign values to your criteria. The total value must add up to 100
- Click Save
What if I don't want to use the Lead Score feature?
The Lead Score feature currently cannot be totally turned off. But you can configure it so that all students have the exact same score, making the scores meaningless.
Set up the Lead Score page with Alumni as the only active criteria, as shown below. This way, having an Alumni parent would give a student a score of 100. However, if you ensure that the Alumni parent question does not appear on any of your forms, no student will be able to get a score higher than 0.
